First Impressions

Small, cute, energetic, cheerful. Rose comes off as a slight airhead at first glance, just flitting about to what interests her. She comments on TV shows and games, and might come off as a normal teenage girl... Except for the part where she carries a large sword at her side, that emits a pale pink glow.

Info

Rose was once a boy named Yuuto, in Tokyo, Japan. But she never really found that being a boy fit, and by high school, she had already begun to transition. And somehow, in that one-in-a-million chance, things went well enough for her- She even got a boyfriend, Daichi, she had a few friends, and things seemed nice.

Of course, it never was that nice for real. Daichi was... controlling, to say the least. The friends were only superficial. But still, she did her best. And one day, she saw the ground under Daichi begin to glow, and a strange circle appeared, and she did the only thing she could think- She tackled Daichi, pushing him out of what she thought was about to be an explosion.

When she woke up, she was in another world. Her body was new, different, it was her ideal self. She had a strange crest on the back of her hand, she was given a sword, a magic chariot, and told she was the Hero. As she couldn't give her original name, Yuu, she panicked and gave the name 'Rose', and later expanded it to 'Rosetta Stone'. She regrets this immensely.

Still, she was in high spirits, as the isekai adventure was the dream every teenager had, right? She was a legendary hero, on top of that! It was awesome.

But no one wanted to be around a legendary hero. The presence of a legendary hero, after all, meant a threat that only a legendary hero could face. That meant the little people? They were in danger, just because the hero was there. No one wanted to be the friendly village that got burned to the ground to make the hero sad.

Rose traveled alone. For two years, she had to wander the land, alone, no one wanting her around. She had to fight, she had to take lives. And as two years passed, she found she was starting to forget things from home. She was miserable.

By the time she found the Demon Lord's castle and entered, she seemed all but dead inside. Either she would win and go home, or she would lose and die. Either seemed fine to her. So she drew her sword, ready to fight the Demon Lord...

    "Are you all right?"

The Demon Lord's kind words brought Rose to her knees, and she cried, because no one had asked her something so simple in so, so long.

Rose stayed with the Demon Lord- Vera, her name was- for a long while. The 'abducted' princess, Angharad, was there as well, and Rose learned that she wasn't abducted so much as foisted off at Vera. Vera had, in her misguided attempts to make them both happy, declared Angharad and Rose her DARK BRIDES, and in amusement, they all agreed- The three of them began a relationship.

Some few months later, Rose brought up the idea of seeing other worlds. Vera, an unfortunately powerful magic-wielder, looked at her cross-world summoning, and applied it to her magical chariot. Rose made the... unfortunate decision to make some sci-fi series jokes about it. Now the Chariot could cross worlds, take the outer form of a vehicle native to the area it landed in, and was... very, very slightly bigger on the inside. Rose and Angharad made the decision to start their trip then, before Vera could get deep into modding their Chariot.

They departed, leaving the world behind, into the multiverse, landing in several worlds. An interdimensional road trip, an endless vacation, they picked up several more people who were similarly struggling with the roles their world forced on them, and they found happiness and peace in their friendships.

Abilities & Inventory

    Abilities:

As the Chosen Hero (TM), Rose has a few special abilities. Unfortunately, as the wrong person who came through the portal, her powers... aren't quite the way they should be. She has:

-"Infinite potential". This means that she can continually improve at anything she does, and she will never reach the limit of her abilities. She can always, always become better, even if she's already the best of the best. Unfortunately, she still learns at the same rate as normal, so in practice, not very useful.

-Natural fighting talent. Her body and mind are suited to battle, and she is an incredible fighter who moves like a veteran with decades of practice. Her balance and approach are impeccable, she's incredibly capable. While her athleticism and balance remain even out of combat, her general peaceful nature and dislike of fighting make this fairly useless.

-Hero's Sword. A legendary artifact, it can only be wielded by the Legendary Hero... And its strength and sharpness are dependent on the Hero's feelings. When she feels heroic, when she's fighting for a just cause, fighting for peace and hope and love and dreams, the sword can cut anything- Shields, barriers, magic, enemies, even space and time can be cut. But if she's not really feeling it, it's about as strong and sharp as a Nerf bat. And she doesn't really feel it anymore.

    Inventory:

    -Her sword.

-An anime-verse version of a Switch, to play Mario Kart with her girlfriends with.
